Short C.V.
Dr. Athina Vis. Economou was born on 11/06/1975 in Larissa. She is a graduate of the Economics Department, University of Macedonia and she holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the Economics Department of the Athens University of Economics and Business. In 2008, she completed her PhD studies at the University of Macedonia, Economics Department. She has taught as an Instructor at the Economics Department of the University of Macedonia and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the TEI of Larissa. From 2009 onwards, she teaches at the Economics Department of the University of Thessaly (P.D. 407/80). She has been a member of two E.U.-funded projects. Her current research interests lie within the fields of Applied Labour Economics, with emphasis on migration, occupational safety and the psychological health and well being of the unemployed.
