Short C.V.

Emmanouil M.L. Economou is currently an Assistant Professor in History of Economic Institutions at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly (Greece).

He is an author of 9 books (4 in English and 5 in Greek) in acclaimed publishing houses such as Routledge (1), Springer (3) and Cambridge Scholars Publishing (1).

He has contributed to the international academic bibliography with 36 papers in peer review quality academic journals, such as the: Journal of Institutional Economics (3), Defence and Peace Economics (2), Sustainability, European Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Risk and Financial Management (4), Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy (2), European Journal of Law and Economics, Economics of Governance, Evolutionary and Institutional Economics Review, Homo Oeconomicus, etc.

He has also contributed to the international academic bibliography with 24 papers in English and Greek collective volumes. He has participated in 42 International and Greek conferences. He has published also 12 papers in ‘semi-academic’ journals such as the Foreign Affairs, the Hellenic Edition.

He has 7 years of university teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor, during the 2016-2023. He also a ten-year business experience.

He is also an external reviewer in the following distinguished journals: American Political Science Review, Journal of Institutional Economics, Cliometrica and Journal of Risk and Financial Management.

His research has also received further international recognition through the IDEAS RePec – Munich International Library database.
Articles by Emmanouil M.L. Economou (of economic, political, institutional, military and historical interest) have also been published in journals for the general public.
